About us

We are Alessandro and Raffaele, photographers and filmmakers since the moment we realized that telling stories through images would be our way of expressing ourselves. First with photography, then with documentaries, we found in visual storytelling the most authentic language to describe what we experience, the places we pass through, and the people we meet every day.

We are part of @327studio, a multidisciplinary collective that uses visual communication as a way to decode reality. Every project is born from an individual sensitivity, which then merges into a collective narrative enriched by different and complementary points of view.

This vision gave birth to Filmini, a project dedicated to telling wedding stories. We’re not interested in trends or pointless spectacle: we want to tell each story “as it is,” immersing ourselves discreetly in the day and letting ourselves be guided by genuine emotions.

Poetry and love live in the smallest details in glances exchanged, in the sweet tension before the “I do,” in the spontaneous gestures that make every wedding unique.

Being present without being intrusive is our philosophy. We don’t direct or force any moment; we observe and capture everything with the naturalness of those who are part of it without orchestrating, without altering its spontaneity.

Why Filmini?

Wedding “filmini” are part of the Campanian and Neapolitan tradition. Next to every great photographer, there was always a videographer. With heavy Betamax and Panasonic cameras, these unaware directors told the story of the day with great talent, capturing authentic and warm moments.

What came to be known as the “neomelodic” style despite its kitschiness offered precious memories for the couple and their families, bringing them together to relive the wedding day. Today, contemporary aesthetics have flattened the playful and genuine identity of those stories. Weddings were packaged as little films: “filmini”. They often didn’t have fancy editing, and could simply consist of long, single takes in chronological order.

With the arrival of cassette and digital camcorders, a guest would often take it upon themselves to film everything. The upside? What a guest sees is as real and intimate as it gets — with no ambition of being professional. The only goal was to capture every moment… and it was so much fun!
